The Music

CARPIO x DELF EXPERIMENT is an experimental collaboration between piano virtuoso Chris Carpio and music producer/sound designer Delf. The project focuses on blending Electronica, Jazz and Ambience into a texture-rich, cinematic-esque aural experience.

Currently the band features bassist and keyboardist Jezrael Lucero, and drummer Tobejazz Kushiator.

Chris

Growing up in a musical Carpio household, Chris has always been surrounded by music since birth. A fiercely talented pianist who effortlessly glides between multiple genres, he directs and performs in many prestigious events around the globe with local and international artists, and most recently had his first ever solo concert in Hong Kong.

Whether it's working as a session musician, composer, arranger or musical director, Chris strives for perfection no matter the role required. This form of professionalism was noticed by Hong Kong Tatler who featured him on their Inaugural Generation T List.

Alongside his performances, Chris' passion for music has led him into educating and inspiring others.

Delf

Elphick Wo, aka Delf, is a versatile music producer and sound artist. The Hong Kong native's music explores genres and cultures in search of sounds that are both familiar and modern, blending off-beat rhythms, and textural soundscapes with a dash of soul. Delf has been producing music for some of China's favourite artists such as the Higher Brothers, Bohan Phoenix, and Lil Akin to name a few. His latest production and mixing works with Brooklyn, NY based rapper/producer Oddisee are also amongst listeners' favorite collaborations. Delf is also the founder of 'Geosonics', an audio-visual experiential series that combines urbanscapes, ambisonics, and unexpected harmonies. Originally launched as 'Sounds of Cities', an editorial collaboration with independent creative publication MAEKAN.

Having performed in some of Asia's biggest music festivals such as Clockenflap, Sonar Asia, Boiler Room, Freespace Jazz Fest, he is no stranger to locking the crowd into his infectious live beats and dance grooves.

Sound artist by day and performer by night, Delf draws inspiration through the lenses of a post-colonial Hong Kong kid and weaving sonic influences between East and West.
